I am part of a university team. What do I need to know?



Registration

Registration for the 2022 season is currently closed for all competitions except for Baja SAE Arizona. Registration for Baja SAE Arizona will remain open until February 14, 2022 at 11:59:59 PM ET.

Registration for the 2023 season will open in autumn of 2022 at https://www.sae.org/attend/student-events/. Official dates will be posted on each competition's news feed once the 2023 schedule and registration dates have been established.


How to make sure that you're able to register for a competition

In order to register one must have 1) an active SAE membership and 2) be affiliated to your university on www.sae.org. If you are unsure how to affiliate yourself, please visit the 'Team Operations Resources' tab on your competition's Series Resource page. There you will find instructions and tips on how to troubleshoot issues.


University Programs Websites

Currently registration and team rosters are located at https://www.sae.org/attend/student-events/, however each program also has its own individual website. These website have expansive functionality for teams that are registered for a competition. Teams use these websites to stay updated on program news and media, download rules and important documents, ask rules questions, submit required documents, view resource videos and micro courses, upload resumes and connect with competition sponsors, and more!

All team members and faculty advisors on a registered team for any 2022 competitions should have accounts created on both www.sae.org and your series specific website. Both websites have a team roster that should be populated with all current team members. Series specific websites are listed below:

LearnTwice

LearnTwice is an opportunity for university students to inspire young learners participating in SAE's A World In Motion (AWIM) PreK-8 STEM program. AWIM combines experiential learning with mentorship to set students on a path of lifelong discovery. By volunteering in LearnTwice, university teams give back to their community while earning funds for their participation in an SAE university program. Learning Labs

SAE University Programs is excited to present Learning Labs, our brand new feature on each competition's website. In the labs you will be able to search through resource videos and complete micro courses about a number of topics related to Careers, SAE International, University Programs, and more! This feature is accessible on your agent menu after you login to your account at on your competition's website – simply click on the ‘Learning Labs’ link and explore the curated content on the lab at your leisure.


Staying Connected As a Team Member

--- News Feed ~ Each program has a website (listed above) with various functionality. Each of these programs have a news feed feature that SAE staff updates regularly with competition news. Stay tuned to your competitions news feed to make sure you're staying up to date with the latest.
--- Mobile App~ Currently the following programs have a mobile application: AutoDrive Challenge, Baja SAE, Formula SAE, SAE Aero Design, and SAE AeroConnect Challenge. Push notifications can be turned on to make sure you don't miss an update!
--- Newsletter ~ Make sure that you're affiliated to your team roster at www.sae.org to make sure that you are receiving the monthly update newsletter.
--- Podcasts ~ Each Collegiate Design Series has a podcast that is easily accessible on the main menu tabs of your competition's website
